Voter Registration
The deadline to register for the General Election in 2024 is October 7th at 4PM. You can look at your registration or get registered at GoVote.KY.gov or contact the Fayette County Clerk’s office for more information.
Local community organizations, such as League of Women Voters of Lexington, are running voter registration drives around town. You can also often find voter registration tables at our local festivals.
It only takes a couple minutes to register online though—so that is a quick and easy option!

In Person Voting
EARLY VOTING
Any registered voter can participate in early voting this year without an excuse. Early voting for the general election will take place on October 31st, November 1st and 2nd.ELECTION DAY
On November 5th, all voting precincts will be open for all registered voters to vote in the general election from 6AM to 6PM. You can verify your voting precinct on the Fayette County Clerk’s website. -
Absentee Voting
There are many reasons why someone might not be able to vote in-person on election day or during the in-person early voting period. You can see if you qualify for an alternative voting method or time by going to the Fayette County Clerk’s website and looking at the options and possible exemptions.
There are options for Military or Overseas Voters, Mail-in Absentee Voting (with a qualifying excuse), and in-person early voting with a qualifying excuse. If you have a question about your particular situation, the Fayette County Clerk’s office can help you!
